Well, I must say that I am not sure what to say as my “Welcome” message pretty much sums me up. Some out there may know me by “emijayne” or “the infamous-emijayne”. Regardless of what you think you know, here I am..
Who: My name is Emily. I am an early 30’s tech-geek, married to a cine/comic geek, currently residing in Florida, US.
Why: I am an ISTP through and through (and if you do not know what that means I encourage you to visit PersonalityPage and look it over).
What: Employment: I am a full time consultant for an engineering firm in the NorthEast US. For that unnamed company, I am their Database Administrator/Analyst as well as the Website Administrator for their 4 external sites and intranet. Beyond that company, I do a little freelance web programming and database builds. Once I have a few more sites built, I will create a portfolio site to advertise. On the other hand,I have been contemplating more and more about getting into network security. It is a subject that has fascinated me for some time, and I think that it may be a better fit for how my brain works.
Passions: I love food in almost all forms.. more the eating than the preparing. It is my life-goal to learn 5 languages fluently. I know that I am off to a late start, but according to the CIA World Factbook (2007 Estimates for Life Expectancy), I should live for another 46.5 to 49 years. So, I have plently of time! :) Let’s see.. I love construction-type things, and I would love to get into Martial Arts soon, oh, and kids.. we’ll get around to having them eventually.
